Who We Are - Women of Temple Sinai
Women of Temple Sinai

What is WTS?

Women of Temple Sinai is an organization of women who meet for fellowship by participating in a variety of exciting programs.

We are members of the Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), which brings together more than 75,000 Jewish women from over 550 sisterhood organizations in , the and 12 other countries.

What are our primary goals?

The programs we initiate give us an opportunity to build our Temple community and the community at-large. We encompass such themes as spiritual growth, Jewish learning, life and health issues, Jewish art and culture and of course, having fun.

What does WTS support?

WTS provides funds to Temple youth, so they can attend Camp George and participate in trips. We provide supplies and snacks to the Temple ’s religious school. We also offer financial support to students from our congregation who are studying to become rabbis and cantors. These funds are raised from our WTS membership dues, WTS Judaica Shop sales and ticket sales to WTS Temple- and community-wide culture and arts programs.

Women of Temple Sinai offers support to a Toronto shelter for abused women. From the sale of the "Homes for Help" pins at the Judaica Shop, we are able to provide toiletries and donate funds.

Who are our members?

WTS welcomes members of all ages. Our Temple members, as diverse as they are, join us and find community, friendship and spiritual connection.

Join our Proud Temple Tradition

Sisterhood has been a part of Temple Sinai life since the beginning. We build on the concept that we can achieve more as a group than as individuals.

WTS invites you to join our Temple sisterhood community. For further information, please leave a message for Melissa Merker, WTS President, at 416.487.4161 ext. 271.
