Family Caregiver Connections Family Caregiver Connections is a network of services provided by agencies dedicated to supporting family caregivers who are seniors or who are caring for seniors. These agencies are Circle of Care and Baycrest in partnership with Bernard Betel Centre, Chai Tikvah Foundation, Jewish Family and Child, Jewish Immigrant Aid Services Toronto (JIAS) and Reena. Jewish Alcoholics Anonymous (JACS) Jewish Alcoholics, Chemically Dependant Persons and Significant Others, is an organization led by volunteers, dedicated to helping Jewish alcoholics, drug addicts and their friends and families to achieve recovery in a nurturing Jewish environment and to promote an understanding of the disease of addiction and alcoholism in the community. Jewish Family and Child (JF&CS) For more than 125 years, the emotional, social and physical needs of Toronto's Jewish community have been served by Jewish Family and Child. A non-profit agency, JF&CS is comprised of 100 committed staff, including social workers, childcare workers, family life educators, therapists, counsellors, foster parents, and 900 devoted volunteers. Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) JVS Toronto helps people from all backgrounds and walks of life to overcome obstacles that prevent them from achieving their educational or economic potential. We provide programs that help a wide variety of employable people, including women, youth and new Canadians, find work. We also provide programs for people with disabilities, injuries and illnesses. JVS is also well known for its educational and vocational services for employers, agencies, schools and organizations. JVS develops and delivers high quality educational and vocational services to assist clients to identify educational and vocational goals, to develop the skills and knowledge to achieve those goals and deal effectively with educational or vocational barriers. L'Chaim Cancer Support Group for Jewish Women L'Chaim is a support group for Jewish women undergoing cancer treatment. L'Chaim volunteers are Jewish women cancer survivors trained in peer support. They deliver gift bags to patients and are available to provide confidential peer support via telephone or visits.
